Three everyday situations. For high-stakes conversations, use a professional interpreter.
You get messages in a language you half speak
A supplier, a landlord or a relative sends voice messages you only partly understand.
What you leave withThe message in your language, line by line next to the original, so you can check the words you did catch.TranslationOriginal keptVoice messages
You need a quick conversation across a gap
At a front desk, with a contractor, or with a neighbour: a simple exchange where neither of you speaks the other language well.
What you leave withA Talk conversation where each of you speaks and reads in your own language.TalkTwo-way
You share a message in other languages
You record an update once and the people who need it speak Spanish, Ukrainian or Georgian.
What you leave withA translation for each of them, and an MP3 voiceover for people who would rather listen.TranslationVoiceoverMP3
Privacy
Your conversations stay yours.
Recordings, transcripts and translations are encrypted, and you can export or delete them at any time.
Recordings, transcripts and notes are encrypted in transit and at rest.
A passphrase lock
Lock your notes with a passphrase. They are stored under a key wrapped by it, and we never keep the passphrase in our database or logs.
No tracking without a yes
Analytics stays off until you agree, and it never receives note text or what you search for.
Yours to export or delete
Download or delete any recording or note whenever you want. Deleting your account deletes your workspace.
Machine translation, not a certified one. Good for understanding and everyday work. For legal, medical or official documents and conversations, use a certified translator or a professional interpreter.

Start with 7 days free. Go Pro when it becomes a habit.
Pro starts with 7 days free, card required. Translating speech counts as audio; voiceover counts the seconds of speech it creates. Notes and summaries are included.
Translating speech counts as audio: $3 an hour pay as you go, or part of Pro ($15 a month, or $12 billed yearly, with 10 fast hours a month). Voiceover counts the seconds of speech it creates. Pro starts with 7 days free, card required.
Which languages can I translate?
Translation covers 100 languages; transcription offers 38 to choose from, or automatic detection. Quality varies by language pair and by how clear the recording is.
Can I rely on the translation?
It is machine translation: good for understanding and everyday work, and it can miss nuance, names and specialist terms. That is why the original stays next to every line. It is not a certified translation.
Can Talk replace an interpreter?
No. Talk helps two people hold a simple conversation in two languages. For medical, legal or other high-stakes conversations, use a professional interpreter.
Who can see my recordings and translations?
You, and the people you share with. They are stored encrypted, and you can export or delete them at any time. Add a passphrase lock for your notes.
Can I listen to the translation?
Yes. Voiceover turns translated text into an MP3 you can play or download. It counts the seconds of speech it creates.
