FAQ

Which voices can I use?
All 13 built-in voices supported by OpenAI gpt-4o-mini-tts are available: Alloy, Ash, Ballad, Coral, Echo, Fable, Nova, Onyx, Sage, Shimmer, Verse, Marin, and Cedar. OpenAI currently recommends Marin or Cedar for the best quality.
Can I create a custom or character-like voice?
Not in the current Sondeas workflow. OpenAI supports custom voices for eligible customers, but Sondeas currently exposes the built-in voice set only.
Can I change playback speed before exporting?
Yes. The built-in audio player supports playback from 0.5x to 5x so you can review audio before downloading the MP3.
Are credits shared with transcription?
Yes. One balance covers transcription, translation, and TTS.
