Recover a recording
Recordings are kept in your browser until they upload. If something interrupts the upload, you can send the saved copy.
Don't record it again. Your audio is still on the device you recorded on. Send the saved copy first.
When the connection drops
- Recording keeps going. The audio is saved in this browser, encrypted and tied to your account.
- The upload pauses and continues by itself when you're back online.
- If you close the tab, the recording waits in this browser until you open Sondeas here again.
Send a saved recording
Step 1: Open Activity, then Recovery, to see the recordings saved in this browser.
Step 2: Choose Send, and keep the tab open until it says Uploaded.
Step 3: Dismiss a saved recording only once you have the transcript or another copy.
If it still doesn't work
- Recording won't start: allow microphone access in your browser and check which microphone is selected.
- Don't clear your browser data or use a private window while a recording is waiting to upload.
- The upload keeps failing: download the saved copy and upload it from another browser or device.
- A transcription failed: choose Try again in Activity. Failed jobs use no minutes.
