Supported files and size limits
Most audio and video files work, up to 2 GB each.
Formats
- Audio: MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, OPUS, FLAC, AAC and WebM.
- Video: MP4, MOV and WebM. Only the sound is transcribed.
- WhatsApp voice messages (.opus) upload as they are, with no need to convert them.
- Documents such as .docx or .pages can't be transcribed. To work from text, paste it instead.
Size and length
- Each file can be up to 2 GB.
- Recordings several hours long work: you get one transcript for the whole file.
- You use minutes for the length of the audio, not for the size of the file.
If a file won't upload
Export it again from the app that made it, as MP3, M4A, WAV, MP4 or WebM, and upload the new file.
