Guide
Install and set up the Sondeas Global Shortcut
Add the Chrome extension, set a global keybinding, and test it in under two minutes.
Installer
Add the extension from the Chrome Web Store and pin it for quick access.
- Open the Chrome Web Store listing and click Add extension.
- Pin “Sondeas Global Shortcut” in your toolbar (optional but handy).
Set your shortcut
Pick a keybinding and make it global so it works even when Chrome is not focused.
- Go to (or click the Sondeas toolbar icon). If Chrome blocks this, paste the URL into the address bar.
- Find “Sondeas Global Shortcut” and set your keys (default: Ctrl+Shift+Space / Command+Shift+Space).
- Enable Global so it works while other apps are focused.
Test it
Make sure the shortcut toggles recording and focuses Sondeas.
- If a Sondeas tab is open, press the shortcut and confirm recording starts/stops.
- If no Sondeas tab is open, press the shortcut; the extension opens sondeas.com, focuses it, and toggles recording once loaded.
- If nothing happens, revisit chrome://extensions/shortcuts and confirm the binding is set to Global.
